USB Dead Drops workshop

Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space. USB flash drives are embedded into walls, buildings and curbs accessible to anybody in public space.

At Pixelache Festival 2015's Dead Drops workshop, participants will construct and place Dead Drops in public space. We'll seek creative and unconventional visual approaches to designing them, and also choose the digital content to be shared. Participants will collectively explore the urban environment when deploying the Dead Drops. The workshop is facilitated by Erno-Erik Raitanen, an artist and photographer who works with sound, installations, sculptures and radios. He was born in Lahti, and has studied in the UK and USA before entering the master program at the Time and Space Arts department at the University of the Arts.

The results of this workshop will be presented in some form in the 'What We Did During All These Workshops' gathering, Sunday at 13:00 in the tunnel underneath Kulosaari metro station.
